Visual Grammar
Abstract Objects
Abstract objects are ideal shapes that cannot be physically created. When you try to draw a point, for example, you do not end up with a point but with a surface.
Concrete Objects
Objects are perceived within defined limits. These limits are called contour lines. The contour is what defines the shape, or form.
Activities
Visual reproductions are static. What can be perceived as an activity, is a static representation or a sequence that creates an illusion of activity.
Relations
Visual objects in a composition relate to the viewer, the format, and other elements within the composition.

Type Research
After looking on more typography examples... I think we should research more on the font we are going to use and think of ways to express on our keywords using the fonts.
For the stacking part, I think we got a lot of our research posted on the blog, by looking at it, I personally think that for our previous interface, we didn't really think of overlaying of types, the space between each words, the alignment of the texts and also repetition is it possible to add this in? Because I think it's interesting, by just repeating a word can make people remember and isn't that what we want?

Typography Based References
Here's some references that I've found, which may be useful in helping to solve the problems we're facing with Interface Design.
Site 1:

This website offers a typography-based inteface to showcase a portfolio of works too, but instead of stacking upwards like us, their content is shown downwards.
Look at the way how the space is cleverly made use of. The words are all right at the top of the page, leaving a big big big space below. It straight away gives an impression that more is to come within the empty space.
Everything is also neatly arranged and users can see the steps they had taken as they navigate through the site. There is a clear hierachy of navigation, and everything is shown within the same page. Not much transition, changing of background and graphics... It's just very simple, direct and efficient.
Think we can also be as simple and direct? =)

Okay, there's nothing much about interface design. But this is a good site i've found to find out more about how typography can aid any form of design interfaces. =)
